What to Say When things Done Cannot Be Undone

What to Say When things Done Cannot Be Undone

When something happens to you, and as it cannot be undone, you should say:  /qaddaral-laah(u),  wa-maa shaa-a  fa’al/

Translation

(Allah has ordained it, and whatever He wills He does).

The Prophet said, “If a harm befalls you, do not say, ‘If I had done such and such a thing, the result would have been different.’ Such hypothesizing opens the door for Satan’s work. You should say [instead], ‘Allah has ordained it, and whatever He wills He does.’
